TargetedLeads

 Get traffic and targeted leads

How To Find and Collect Targeted Leads.

What would you do if you had more targeted leads for your affiliate business? Just a wild guess!
If you had more leads you would be doing a whole lot better, and your checkbook would reflect that reality. This is a stark reality most must face.

Part of owning an Internet home business is gathering targeted leads. While you want to get as many leads as possible you also want leads that are high quality. An interesting balance must be struck to ensure you are receiving the absolute best possible results.

There are several methods to gather your leads so Deciding on how to gather them is the first step and followed closely by designing a contact form that reflects your goals

Step 1: Choosing How To Gather Your Leads

There are several types of leads and the first step in choosing your approach is deciding how much work you wish to put into warming them up. If you have a solid pre-sales strategy that can convert a cold lead into a warm lead and eventually a paying customer, then the traffic source will likely be a little less important because you can covert more cold leads. However, some business owners prefer to collect leads that are already interested in the types of products or services they are selling.

Warm leads convert much better than cold leads and some businesses prefer this method because it generally requires less work.

If you want to play the numbers game and get as leads as possible, then cold leads are going to be your best option. You can get traffic to your contact form from anywhere. This includes paid traffic, buying lists built by lead generation companies, traffic exchanges, and whatever other strategies that you can implement successfully. The key is to focus on generating as much traffic as possible.

Collecting leads...

On the other hand, if you prefer to only target a higher quality targeted leads then you want to only generate traffic from sources that inherently pre-sell your product or service. This would include organic traffic, blogs, targeted social media ads, and some forms of paid traffic (preferably bought directly from related websites). This type of traffic has already shown some interest in what you offering because they will find you through resources that are related to your niche. With these strategies, you will get a lot fewer leads, but they will be at least somewhat actively seeking what you are offering.

Step 2: Creating The Opt-In Form

Check this out...

Once you know what type of targeted leads you are targeting, the next step is to create an opt-in form that reflects it. As a general rule, the warmer the lead is, the more information they will give you. If you are using traffic exchanges, then you don't want a contact form that requires 5 pieces of information. You need to create as little friction as possible. Ideally, you can only ask for their email address, but also getting their name could be beneficial as well. Regardless of what you are bribing them with to join your list, cold traffic will not give you a lot of information during the introduction phase.

On the flip-side, if you are working with warmer, more targeted traffic, then you can ask for a little more information. Ideally, you will still ask for as little information as possible but can ask for a little more. Plus, by requesting a little more information, you will automatically weed out lower quality leads.

In the end, if you want to generate as many leads as possible then target high quantity cold traffic with a contact form that only asks for one or two pieces of information. If you only want a higher quality lead, then focus on more targeted, active traffic and don't be afraid to ask for whatever information you need.
